Abortion had been shown in the media as a topic that is discussed amongst the presidential candidates for their campaigns. In these different campaigns abortion is being discussed as both a positive and negative thing.One canidate that described abortion as a positive thing was Hillary Clinton. As stated in a speech by Hillary Clinton said Sunday â€Å"she believes that because rape is increasingly being used as a weapon of war, the United States should help the victims by finding a way to get around a law that bars U.S. foreign assistance funds for abortion.† A candidate that was not in favor of abortion was Ben Carson. As stated in a speech Ben Carson said Sunday â€Å"he compared abortion to slavery, saying he d like to see the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade overturned so that the practice can be made illegal.† Another way abortion was featured in the media was when clinics that provided abortions started taking safety precautions, after a clinic that was a part of the Planned Parenthood organization, had been attacked on November 27, 2015 by an individual who was against abortion. Another website that abortion had been featured on was MSNBC.com.
